TREGGENA ADVICE - CASTLE EDEN & UK-WIDE
Understand the tax
on your dividends.
Estimate dividend tax for 2026/27, taking account of other income, the dividend allowance and the reduction in Personal Allowance at higher incomes.

YOUR FIGURES
Start with the numbers.
2026/27 · England, Wales and Northern Ireland · UK-resident individual · Other income must be non-savings income such as salary or pension. Excludes Scottish taxpayers, savings interest, Gift Aid and pension relief adjustments, special allowances and non-UK issues.
UNDERSTAND THE ESTIMATE
Three things to keep in mind.
Include the full income picture
Other income uses tax bands before dividends. Total income also affects your Personal Allowance.
Understand the £500 allowance
The dividend allowance gives a zero rate on the first £500 of taxable dividends. That amount still uses space in your tax bands.
Look beyond dividend tax
If dividends reduce your Personal Allowance, tax on your other income can also rise. The result shows this extra effect separately.
