SUPPORT BUILT AROUND YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES
Your service.
Your tax position.
Every posting and pay history is different. We bring the relevant information together and explain what can be reviewed, whether you are serving, a reservist or have left the Armed Forces.
01 / PAY & TAX
Check your tax paid.
We review your payslips, tax codes and changes in employment, including leaving service. Your full income position helps us understand whether the tax paid needs checking.
02 / TRAVEL & EXPENSES
Review the details.
Tell us about work journeys and costs you paid yourself. We check the purpose, workplace arrangements and any MOD reimbursement before considering a claim.
03 / EXISTING RELIEF
Avoid claiming twice.
We check earlier claims and relief already received. Qualifying uniform laundry relief is normally provided through MOD payroll, so it should not be claimed again.
A review first. A claim where eligible.
Military service alone does not mean a refund is due. We’ll agree the years, issues and fees before starting. Tax returns and other additional work are scoped separately where needed.
Pay and tax records
P60s, relevant payslips, tax code notices and a P45 if you have left service. Tell us about pensions, other employment or additional income.
Posting and workplace details
Dates, locations, the purpose of each assignment and how long it was expected to last. Include changes to those expectations.
Travel, costs and reimbursements
Journey dates, mileage logs and receipts, plus details of allowances or expenses paid by the MOD. We’ll explain which records are relevant.
Previous claims and correspondence
Earlier tax returns, refund claims and HMRC letters. This helps us check what has already been reported or allowed.
GETTING STARTED
Four steps.
From review to claim.
Know what to share, what we’ll check and when you need to review and approve the information.
Tell us what you need checked.
Tell us about your service, relevant postings and the years you want reviewed. We’ll explain the proposed scope and fee.
Share the supporting records.
We’ll provide a tailored checklist and explain how to share your information securely, then follow up on missing details.
Review the position together.
We explain our findings and any claim that can be made. You check the information and approve the agreed submission.
Submit and follow the next steps.
Once authorised, we submit the claim through the appropriate route and explain any further information or action needed.
KEEP THE WORK CONNECTED
Keep your wider
tax position connected.
A possible refund may be part of a broader tax return or income review. We’ll explain how the relevant services fit together.
